First off, most of you are probably wondering why it takes me so long to do a coloring. Well, I don't do it all at one setting, and I color in shades (4), that's the reason why the colors are so bright. I mean, the colored pencils I used this time around were purchased at a garage sale and are an off brand that features 72 colors.
This is the most unique coloring that I've done thus far. Can you imagine Freddy Krueger actually wearing a sweatshirt that looks like the one above on St. Valentine's Day? I can't either. Ha!
Most know in the movies Freddy wore the same sweatshirt, but the colors were red and green, or dark red and dark green as the colors (at times) appeared in the films. Freddy would never wear a sweatshirt that looked like this, but if he did, I would imagine it would look something like the one above, and maybe even a darker red and pink.
I colored the pink by using Rose Red with a medium layer of Rasberry to darken the stripes.
I added Mahogany to the Red stripes to make them darker.
For Freddy's flesh marks, I colored those Red and added a thin layer of Rasberry to darken them. I also added some Black to make the cuts look deeper.
For Freddy's wonderful teeth (sarcasm), I added Light Brown with White spots.
Freddy's face was difficult, due to his skin tone changing from film to film. I colored his face using Apricot and a light layer of Mango to get it a tad darker, even though he has pale skin (or flesh) in the films.
Freddy's skin tone changes from movie to movie, just like his glove. I took the syringe glove (from A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors) and studied the image and incorporated it into his normal glove that he wore during that same film. I believe the glove itself was a bit darker.
